Family
The family is ordained of God. Through sacred covenants available in temples, our relationships with family members can last forever. By living the principles of the gospel, families can be strengthened and grow closer together, even in difficult circumstances. When complete, this new section will provide teachings and resources to help strengthen marriages, as well as relationships with children, siblings, and parents.

Return With Honor
The destiny of man and of nations is always being decided. Is it not time that God sent out a great army to revive a dying world? We may not be responsible for past generations, but we may not escape the full responsibility for this world. Our time has come. And though we may not remember this hour, this commitment. We must not fail. When in doubt we must look upward. When we fall we must seek mercy. For this is our charge, our privilige our Sacred duty, to gather our brothers and sisters and return with honor.

We Can Live With God Again
We come to this life to grow and learn and be tested. That all sounds pretty taxing, but it’s not hard to see how much joy we can find here on earth as well. One great part of Heavenly Father’s plan is that all the happiness and satisfaction we get from learning new things and all the love we develop within our families will go with us to the next life.
Just like our family bonds, we can carry the knowledge we gain in this life with us after we die. Contrary to some representations of heaven, we will not be sitting on clouds, gazing at the face of God for eternity. We’ll have more opportunities to grow and challenge ourselves. All these wonderful blessings depend on our faithfulness, here and now, as we work to keep God’s commandments throughout our lives.

Our Eternal Life
Many of us spend our lives looking for something to hold on to, something that will last. We look for ways to avoid aging or to become famous or rich. But we eventually realize that mortal life is temporary. Friends and family members grow old and die, the famous are soon forgotten, and wealth is lost as quickly as it is won.
Our hope and happiness lie in knowing who we are, where we came from, and where we can go. We are eternal beings, spirit children of an eternal God. Our lives can be compared to a three-act play: premortal life (before we came to earth), mortal life (our time here on earth), and postmortal life (where we go after we die). God has had a plan for our lives since the beginning of the first act—a plan that, if followed, provides comfort and guidance now, as well as salvation and eternal happiness in our postmortal life.
Understanding the following can help us live a more happy, satisfying life now and in eternity.

Julie Holm Tells her Story
Growing up, my family was very active and I was too until I hit Middle School. I just really didn't care about going to Church or anything that had to do with the Church. I was always close with my family and especially to my sister Melissa. When I was 21, Melissa had my niece June. I had the opportunity to be in the delivery room with her and was able to see the baby right when she was born. The feelings that I had in that room are undescribable.
I have never felt the Spirit so strong in my entire life until that moment. When I got to hold her for the fitst time I knew right then and there that that baby girl came straight from the presence of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I knew that her little personality existed before. Her perfect little body. Her perfect little hands and feet. In that moment I knew I needed to change my life and come back to Church. I know I knew that baby girl in the pre-existence.
I am now on my mission. The feelings I get from bearing my testimony and holding that baby girl I KNOW that Heavenly Father created us. I know that Jesus Christ is our brother and they want nothing more than for us to make it back to them. So, going back to the first line, having Faith in Jesus Christ brings a whole lot of blessings into my life because I now know who I am, and knowing who I am has been the biggest blessing. Pay attention to the Spirit when he talks to you. The deep doctrine isn't the most important, it's how you feel. That is what has brought me true and never ending happiness.

What is Faith?
Confidence in something or someone. As most often used in the scriptures, faith is confidence and trust in Jesus Christ that lead a person to obey him. Faith must be centered in Jesus Christ in order for it to lead a person to salvation. Latter-day Saints also have faith in God the Father, the Holy Ghost, priesthood power, and other important aspects of the restored gospel.
Faith includes a hope for things which are not seen, but which are true (Heb. 11:1; Alma 32:21; Ether 12:6). Faith is kindled by hearing the gospel taught by authorized administrators sent by God (Rom. 10:14–17). Miracles do not produce faith, but strong faith is developed by obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ. In other words, faith comes by righteousness (Alma 32:40–43; Ether 12:4, 6, 12; D&C 63:9–12).

True faith brings miracles, visions, dreams, healings, and all the gifts of God that he gives to his Saints. By faith one obtains a remission of sins and eventually is able to dwell in God’s presence. A lack of faith leads one to despair, which comes because of iniquity (Moro. 10:22).
